Sultry. Painting at Philo Ridge Farm. Camels Hump shielded by heavy atmosphere.. 10x20" oil on birch panel. some more work to do on it.

The second pic shows the early stage, and the late sun bright on the landscape, my easel was in the shade, thankfully! The two pictures are a couple hours apart. The main challenge of outdoor painting is remembering my start point, training my memory.

This is my lightest setup, a Surui tripod, with a homemade paintbox. I brought along the second easel in case I wanted to attach an umbrella. It was handy for my brushes. It seems I am using more brushes per session, certainly keeps my color mixing easier, even for a small painting.
